Back on the home front in Canada, Brooke, Duane and Cory and the band earned a record setting Nine Maple Blues Award nominations. A fabulous, heartfelt final parting gift from the Legendary Blues Artist JAMES HARMAN (1946 - 2021). For all his many friends and fans, who loved both the man and his music. This is the album that James was working on before his passing on May 19, 2021 in collaboration with his long time friend and guitarist NATHAN JAMES. Nathan and James recorded these 12 James Harman originals together, and Nathan has mixed and mastered them at Sacred Cat studios in Oceanside and Mountain Center, CA. Along with James Harman on all Harmonica and Vocals, Nathan plays Guitar on all tracks. Other long time veterans of the James Harman Band are featured on the album, Marty Dodson (drums), Michael Tempo (Percussion & Drums),Troy Sandow (Bass), Carl Sonny Leyland (Piano), and the late Gene Taylor (Piano), another Blues luminary taken from us too soon, on the title track. The CD features a cover shot of James performing at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis, TN. from award winning photographer Joseph Rosen. A man of many musical talents, HARRISON KENNEDY was presented with The Toronto Blues Society's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023, but Harrison is not resting on his many laurels, instead he toured France and Germany 5 times this year as well as performing frequently across Canada. His current Electro-Fi release "Thanks For Tomorrow" was Juno award nominated, and spent more than a year on the Roots Music Reports Chart. www.harrisonkennedy.ca MARK HUMMEL just completed a highly successful James Cotton Tribute Tour with several former members of the James Cotton Band.
