WITH MUCH GRATITUDE: There are so many people that have been in Fathead’s corner over the years, please forgive us if we’ve omitted you by error. While the core members have remained the same, a few drummers have done tenures in the band... Ed White, Chuck Keeping, Hayden Vialva and of course Mike Fitzpatrick, who played early on before we ever recorded; guitarist Darran Poole who is featured on our Building Full Of Blues disc also did a short stint in the band. We gratefully thank our various producers, Ken Whitely, Tom Jardin, Alec Fraser, David Gray and Lance Anderson. BIG thanks to Andrew Galloway, Andrew & Jenny Kempa, Rico Ferrera, Mako Funasaka, Ralph MacDonald, Joe Yanuzello, Sean The Superfan, Alex Beveridge and Wayne Roberts for all your help. Much gratitude to Andy Krehm and Eliana Levitt at Silverbirch Productions. We are grateful to all the radio DJs who have played our music and to all the promoters that have booked us. In twenty years we have amassed a wonderful fan base, and we know some of you have been with us from day one. Thank you all for coming to our shows and buying our music! Last and certainly not least, we thank our families for their incredible support and love through the years. You have kept us grounded through life’s ups and downs.
Here at Electro-Fi Records we are delighted to be celebrating FATHEAD'S 20th Anniversary as a band by releasing “Twenty Years Deep”. Ace musicians and talented songwriters, Fathead have built their own unique, original and identifiable sound. They were also the band who so superbly backed Chicago Legend Little Mack Simmons on the first ever Electro-Fi release way back in 1997, and then promptly won the first of their two Juno Awards (Canada's Grammy) the very next year with their Electro-Fi debut disc “Blues Weather”. Surviving 20 years as a band is a solid accomplishment, surviving 20 years as a Blues band in today's world, with no signs of slowing down, is a feat of soul sanctified brilliance. Listen to 19 tracks ( we wanted to include 20, but they wouldn’t fit! ) on this album and join in the celebration! ANDREW GALLOWAY, President, Electro-Fi Records |
